The crew at GearHeadTour was a little disappointed at the cancellation of the 2020 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.  But, we couldn’t let circumstances derail our production.  We packed our bags and headed for the neon lights of the Las Vegas strip, as well as the areas surrounding the city so that we could bring you some stellar content, including the 2020 mid engine Corvette.

The Adventure Begins

First, the crew started the weeklong adventure with a trip out to Area 51, the famed “secret” base.  The team launched the raid on the Back Gate Road in a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon RECON edition.  Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel so you can see the video once it is released.

Secondly, Day 2 of the trip started with a trip to the Celebrity Cars and Coffee car show in the city of Las Vegas.  This is a part of our Cars & Coffee Coast to Coast series, where we intend to visit a Cars and Coffee event in all 50 States.  Be sure to check out the Cars & Coffee Coast to Coast series. We see cars of all kinds from all over, and Las Vegas did not disappoint.  We meet the most interesting characters at these events.

Continuing on, by our third day we were ready for some sights along the famous Las Vegas strip.  We couldn’t think of a better way to see the crowds than from the driver’s seat of a drop top 2020 BMW Z4 sDrive 30i. The Misano Blue color is amazing.

Getting Out Of The City

A cousin to the BMW Z4, our next review was of the 2020 Toyota GR Supra.  The Gazoo racing (GR) Supra was a blast to drive, even though we had an unfortunate loss of a GoPro Hero8 camera during the launch control demo!  We drove the Supra from Las Vegas up to Mt. Charleston, where we had an unexpected rendezvous with the Corsa America Rally. As a result of this chance encounter, we witnessed about 75 amazing, high-end exotic cars.

Additionally, we took another short trip outside the city to the beautiful Red Rock Canyon park, and we did that in the mid-engine 2020 Corvette.  The Corvette is a red on black 3LT Corvette Stingray equipped with the Z51 package.  The car look amazing driving through the park and along the roads on the way to and from the destination.

Finishing It Off

Lastly, our week was capped off by a trip to St. George, Utah to visit SpeedTech Performance.  We originally met Roger and Jay at the 2020 Holley LS Fest in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  The guys from SpeedTech Performance gave our host Ashley Duran a great tour of the facility. They discussed some of the manufacturing products and practices, and gave her a look at some of their current builds.   Speedtech Performance owner Jay Weir strapped Ashly into his second generation 1973 Camaro and give her a ride.
